Ok, I'm an Auburn fan. I'm sure many of you won't care and perhaps will even like me a little less because of it. I don't care, this had to be my post for today. It just had to. Regardless of what you think of Cam Newton, his latest goings on are commendable. This NFL superstar, who doesn't have to take another day of classes ever if he didn't want to, has gone back to Auburn to work toward finishing his degree. Bravo sir. Bravo.

For those of you who don't know, Cam has a statue on campus right outside of the stadium. There's no way on God's green Earth he could be a "normal" student like he claims to want to be. I'm sure there are leagues of fans following him around the Haley Center as we speak (that's a building on campus where a good deal of classes are held. Fun Fact: it's also the tallest building in Auburn, AL....just an fyi)
In case you haven't caught on, I graduated from Auburn. Even though I'm slightly biased, I do think this is such a positive image for kids and young atheletes to see. Just because he's "set" for life, he's still working to better himself. Bravo Cam. (Another fun fact, I totally ran into him on campus one day. Like literally. I wasn't looking where I was going and it was like a ran into a brick wall. He's so incredibly tall and really really nice. Not to mention that mega watt smile is kind of mesmerizing.)
